MINUTES OF MEETING REMINGTON COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT The regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of the Remington Community Development District was held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Remington Recreation Center, 2651 Remington Boulevard, Kissimmee, Florida. Present and constituting a quorum: PamZaresk Chair Tim Mehrlich Vice Chairman Brian (Ken) Brown Assistant Secretary Daniel Hurst Assistant Secretary Also present: Jason Showe District Manager Scott Clark (via phone) District Counsel Pete Glasscock District Engineer Alan Scheerer Field Manager FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS Roll Call Ms. Zaresk called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and Mr. Showe called the roll. Mr. Hurst, Ms. Zaresk and Mr. Brown were present in person, Mr. Jaisingh was not present. SECOND ORDER OF BUSINESS Modifications to Agenda Ms. Zaresk: Are there any modifications to the agenda? Mr. Showe: We have none. THIRD ORDER OF BUSINESS Security Report from DSI Security Services Ms. Zaresk: Security Report. We may not have one tonight. Mr. Scheerer: I have not seen anyone from the security company. July 28, 2026 Remington COO Mr. Showe: No. But we have been following up with them monthly. It seems like the issues with the tow company have been resolved, with the new processes that we put in place. So, I think we're okay for now, but we're continuing to monitor that as tow requests come in. Ms. Zaresk: Great. I'm glad to hear that the towing thing is working. Mr. Showe: Yeah. I've been checking with them and the way that the instructions are, is when they call in for a tow, they also send an email. That way we get tracking of it. It's either the vehicle has been moved, it gets moved right away or they tow the vehicle. It seems to be working right now. Ms. Zaresk: At least we're getting street cars offofthe street. Mr. Showe: Correct. Ms. Zaresk: Okay. FOURTH ORDER OF BUSINESS Public Comment Period Ms. Zaresk: I don't see anyone present for the public comment period. Mr. Showe: No. FIFTH ORDER OF BUSINESS Approval of Minutes of the May 26, 2026, Board of Supervisors Meeting Ms. Zaresk: Alright. Approval of the minutes of the May 26, 2026 Board of Supervisors meeting. Do I have a motion to approve? On MOTION by Mr. Brown seconded by Mr. Mehrlich with all in favor the Minutes of the May 26, 2026 Board of Supervisors Meeting were approved as presented. SIXTH ORDER OF BUSINESS Organizational Matters A. Review of Letter of Interest and/or Resume for Board Vacancy Ms. Zaresk: Okay. We're moving on to the letter of interest for a new Board Member. Mr. Showe: I can walk the Board through this. Obviously, we have a vacancy in Seat No. 1. That has a term ending in 2028. We have received a letter of interest from Mr. Daniel Hurst, who lives in Club Villas with Pam. You can appoint him, if the Board would choose at this point or you can wait and have some discussions with him and see if we get any other letters of interest. It's really up to the Board. Obviously, the important part is it's typically our recommendation if 2 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD you have an interested party, that you go ahead and put them on the Board. That way we can continue to keep a quorum, if there are any issues that come up. But we can turn it over to the Board for any discussions that you would like to have. Ms. Zaresk: Are there any comments from anyone? I will say that I'm always hesitant to have a second person from Club Villas, since we're such a small part of the overall community. But he has been a very active member in our little community. When I approached him about it, he was very interested. Yeah, he's a sharp guy and a Spanish speaker as well. So that's helpful, too, in terms of some of our constituencies. B. Appointment of Individual to Fill Board Vacancy with Term Ending November 2028, Seat No.1 Mr. Showe: If the Board is amenable, you would just make a motion to appoint Mr. Hurst to Seat No.1, with the term ending in 2028. On MOTION by Mr. Mehrlich seconded by Mr. Brown with all in favor the appointment of Mr. David Hurst to Seat No.1 , with a term ending in 2028 was approved. C. Administration of Oath of Office to Newly Appointed Supervisor Mr. Showe: I'll reach out to him and provide the Oath of Office. D. Consideration of Resolution 2026-05 Appointing Assistant Secretary Mr. Showe: But what we can do is adopt Resolution 2026-05, which would just be to appoint Mr. Hurst as an Assistant Secretary, for purposes of signing documents. So, we would look for motion for that as well. On MOTION by Mr. Brown seconded by Mr. Mehrlich with all in favor Resolution 2026-05 Electing Mr. Daniel Hurst as an Assistant Secretary was adopted. SEVENTH ORDER OF BUSINESS Public Hearing Mr. Showe: I can walk everyone through the public hearing. We first would need a motion to open the public hearing . 3 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD On MOTION by Mr. Mehrlich seconded by Mr. Brown with all in favor the public hearing on the adoption of the budget for Fiscal Year 2027 was opened. A. Consideration of Resolution 2026-06 Adopting the Fiscal Year 2027 Approved Budget and Appropriating Funds Mr. Showe: This is the public hearing for both the budget, as well as the special assessments. I will note that the first resolution just approves the budget. There are some blanks in the resolution, which we will fill in, once we get that approved. We keep that blank just in case there are any changes. I will note again that there is no assessment increase in the General Fund. So, everyone's assessments would remain level this year. Everything else is pretty much in line with what we would expect. We haven't really made any changes to the Proposed Budget. Again, we'll make our typical comments, that this doesn't lock the Board into any expenses. You're allowed to make changes throughout the year. Ifthere are overages in certain lines, you can move those funds.Currently, weareperformingbetterthan budgettoactuals. So,wefeelprettyconfident with the budget as presented. I will note that starting right after the General Fund, we do the lineitem detail. We try to provide as much detail as we can, so that folks understand where that money is. Behind that is your Pavement Management Fund. By the end of 2027, we expect to have close to $1.3 million in that fund for paving projects coming up. Then we also have your typical capital projectsafterthat. Weexpecttohaveabout$200,000attheend ofnextyear, withsome sidewalks being the biggest expense that we have in those lines. We also have some additional wall repairs and some other items that just are kind of maintenance throughout the community. With that, again, I will note that there are no members ofthe public here to provide any comments. So, we'll return it to the Board for any discussion or a motion to approve. On MOTION by Mr. Brown seconded by Mr. Mehrlich with all in favor Resolution 2026-06 Adopting the Fiscal Year 2027 Budget with no changes and Appropriating Funds was adopted. B. Consideration of Resolution 2026-07 Imposing Fiscal Year 2027 Special Assessments and Certifying an Assessment Roll Mr. Showe: Behind that, is the second part ofthe budget process. This is Resolution 202607, whichimposesspecialassessments.Attachedtothis resolution, will bethebudgetthatyou just adopted, as well as the Assessment Roll that's included in your agenda package. The Assessment 4 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD Roll is really just a large Excel spreadsheet, that gets transmitted to the Tax Collector. That's how the CDD assessments actually get placed on the individual tax bills. So, again, we'll let the record reflect that there are no residents or no public to provide comments and we'll return it to the Board for consideration. On MOTION by Mr. Mehrlich seconded by Mr. Brown with all in favor Resolution 2026-07 Imposing Fiscal Year 2027 Special Assessments and Certifying an Assessment Roll was adopted. Mr. Showe: Could we get a motion to close the public hearing? On MOTION by Mr. Brown seconded by Mr. Mehrlich with all in favor the public hearing on adoption of the budget for Fiscal Year 2027 was closed. EIGHTH ORDER OF BUSINESS Presentation of Fiscal Year 2025 Financial Audit Report Mr. Showe: The next item is the presentation of the Fiscal Year 2025 audit. We have received this as finalized. We typically refer folks to the last page ofyour audit, which is Page 113. These are all of the items that they're statutorily required to review as part of the audit process. You'll see that there are no prior year findings, there are no current year findings, and we didn't meet any financial condition analysis triggers, which is what you want. So, it is a clean audit. We would just need a motion of the Board to go ahead and approve that audit and allow us to transmit that to the State for compliance. On MOTION by Mr. Mehrlich seconded by Mr. Brown with all in favor accepting the Fiscal Year 2025 Financial Audit Report and directing staff to transmit it to the State of Florida was approved. NINTH ORDER OF BUSINESS Staff Reports A. Attorney Mr. Showe: With that, we'll go to Staff Reports and we will start with counsel. Mr. Clark: Okay, thank you and good evening to everybody, although it's still 98 degrees out. so it's kind of hard to call it evening. A couple of things concluded on the legislative front. 5 July 28, 2026 Remington COO We've talked about this and kind of watched it through the year, but I wanted to summarize a couple of high points. The COD Supervisor recall bill passed and was signed by the Governor on June 25th• I'll talk really quickly about the process and then next month I'm going to have you take a first look at a procedural rule that helps to implement the process and plugs up what I think are some holes in the legislation, just from our standpoint. They made it more complicated than it started, which may be good, because it probably discourages frivolous actions. So, what happens basically, if your public wants to vote you out, there are three steps, essentially. First of all, they have to go out and form a committee. They have to get signatures of 10% of the registered voters on a petition. When that's done and verified by the Supervisor of Elections, they then have to get 15% ofthe registered voters to sign a separate petition to schedule a recall election. Ifthat passes, then a special election is held and a simple majority of those who vote, can remove any sitting Board Member who is sitting by election and not by appointment. However, the process is cumbersome and expensive, because the Recall Committee that that wants to do this, has to pay all ofthe cost. There are some things that the COD has to do. We have to post, at one point in the process, the petition on our website for votes to be held. We have to send out a newspaper advertisement, and we have to mail a letter to every registered voter within the District. Part of what my proposal rules can clarify, is that the proponents of the bill will have to pay us upfront, because some ofthosethings areprettyexpensive.Thenewspaperadsareexpensive. The mailing is quite expensive. So, we'll clarify the obligation to pay that. That's the nuts and bolts of it. If there's a vacant position, because we're recalled, the rest of the sitting Board fills it, through the same process that we just went through with filling a vacancy. So, we'll see how it works out. I don't think a lot of people are going to rush in to spend the money and go through the process just frivolously. So, maybe that strikes the right balance. It still gives a procedure for the COOs that really need to go through it, but it makes it difficult for the crackpots, if you will, just to try to cause trouble. As I said, at your next meeting, I'll have a draft of some language. We won't vote on it. but we'll have a hearing. I'll discuss it with you and kind of walk you through the process in more detail. There was another bill that everyone thought would become law, that raised the caps for sovereign immunity. Sovereign immunity provides a limitation on what the COD can be forced to payout, ifthere's a tort suit, somebody trips and falls, something like that. There was a bill that passed very easily in the legislature, to raise those caps significantly. The Governor vetoed that bill, raising concerns about the cost for insurance for governments that just raises taxes for 6 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD everybody. They kind of took a shot at the trial lawyers as well, if you will, saying this is just something that helps them out and not our government so much. So, that was vetoed. Some of my Board Members have asked me whether the proposed constitutional amendment about Homestead Exemptions, will have any impact on us. It doesn't. As a CDD, our assessments are all non-ad valorem. They're not based on the value, exceptions and things like that. They don't really affect us at all. So, that process could have a big effect on local government and how it operates , but it's not going to affect us very much. One other thing that I wanted to report to the Board, the Gigapower Group is ready and may have already started their second phase. During the process, I noticed that they had not posted the bond that they were required to post. So, I called that to their attention. They have in this past month, issued a $200,000 letter ofcredit in favor ofthe District, that will pay for any damage, anything like that that they leave behind. My understanding from talking with staff, is that the process has been going pretty well. They've been fixing stuff and I don'tthinkyou've hadalot ofproblems, butthatbond isthere incase wedo. That's allthat Ihave. Are there any questions? Mr. Brown: Yeah, just when you're talking about the recall and the committee has to pay for it and we have to do certain things, would the special election still be done by the Supervisor of Elections? Mr. Clark: It will, but that committee will have to pay for it, because it's an off-cycle election and holding an election is really pretty expensive. So, that committee will have to pay to the Supervisor of Elections for the cost of conducting the election. Mr. Brown: Okay. I just want to make sure. Mr. Showe: Yeah, well, that's part of why he wants to establish rules, so if anybody is interested, they can look at our rules to determine what they're going to be on the hook for, should they proceed here. Mr. Brown: Yeah. Mr. Clark : Yeah, it's going to be cost neutral to us, in the way that it's been set up, as it should be. Mr. Brown: Yeah, I just was like, "Dowehavetotake ahat andputapaperballotinit? ,. Mr. Clark: It's a formal election, but it doesn't get to wait until the other election. It's a special election and the people who want to want to push it forward, will have to pay for it. With that said, Pete is here. 7 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD Ms. Zaresk: Daniel is here. Mr. Showe: Oh, you're on the Board. Come on up. You already been elected. Mr. Daniel Hurst joined the meeting. Mr. Hurst: I'm Danny. Mr. Glasscock: I'mPete. Mr. Scheerer: I'm Alan. Welcome aboard. Mr. Showe: I'm Mr. Jason Showe. Mr. Scheerer: Sit over next to the guy in the blue shirt. Mr. Mehrlich: Hi! I'm Mr. Tim Mehrlich. Mr. Brown: Ken. Mr. Hurst: It's a pleasure to meet you. Ms. Zaresk: You can sit next to Ken. Hi, Danny. Welcome aboard. Mr. Hurst: Thank you. Mr. Showe: We'll get you a packet here. Ms.Zaresk: Soanyway.Thanks,Scott.We'redone,right? Mr. Showe: Yep, I think so. Thank you. Ms. Zaresk: Thank you, Scott. Good news on all ofthose things. Thank you. Are we ever going to see you again? Mr. Clark: I will come, ifyou want me to come. I can do that. Ms. Zaresk: I'm just giving you a hard time, Scott, but we do miss having you. Mr. Clark: I know you are. Mr. Showe: We've seen him. He's alive and well. Ms. Zaresk: No, we appreciate you. Thank you very much. Mr. Brown: Yeah, the turnpike will be widened before too long. Mr. Clark: My question is, will I be alive to see it? Mr. Showe: That's a good question. AIr. Showe,aNotary oftheState ofFloridaanddulyauthorized.administeredtheOath of Office to Mr. Hurst. Mr. Showe: Danny has completed his oath, so Danny , I just have a couple things for you. These willbegood reminderstotheBoard.Thisisjustyourinformation. So, ifyoujustfillinyour name, address, phone numberandemail, that'sallyouneedtodothere, justsowecan contactyou 8 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD if we need it. This is your W-4 and 1-9. As a Board Member, you are eligible to receive up to $200 per meeting. But ifyou choose to accept that compensation, we do need both ofthese forms back, so we can fill out the tax forms properly. Also, as a government official, once we get your email address, we will put you into the system. You will have to fill out a Form 1, which is required of all public officials in the State. It's through the Department of Ethics on their electronic portal. It will generate an email for you to fill out, but these are just instructions and kind of a sample on how to do that. This is a Form IF. If you ever leave the Board, you have to complete a final form. We just give that to you for your information. Mr. Hurst: Okay. Mr. Showe: The other thing that I need to give you, is the Sunshine Law. Ms. Zaresk: It's not that hard, but there's a lot at first. Mr. Showe: So, this is the Guide of the Sunshine Amendment. As a government official, you are now subject to government in the Sunshine, which means that anything that would come before the Board, has to only be discussed here at the Board meetings. You're not allowed to talk to other Board members about things that would reasonably corne up before a vote of the CDD Board, outside of a public meeting. So, you'll see when you get emails from us, if all other Board Members are on it, there's a reminder that just says, "Please do not reply to all. " It is just a friendly reminder, because you can start conversations that way. That applies to social media. It applies to text messages, phone calls, everything. You're not required to keep any records of this meeting. That's our job as District Manager. If you do keep records, we always recommend that you just keep them in a separate place, if there's a records request. That way your personal files aren't intermingled. Same thing with your email. Some Board Members set up a separate CDD email. If you don't want to do that, just set up a folder for the CDD and you can put all of the CDD emails in a folder, just for management purposes. So, there's that. We'll go over a little more after the meeting if you want. Do you have your Driver's License with you? Mr. Hurst: Sure. Mr. Showe: Just so I can notarize that for you. Then you are official. Ms. Zaresk: It was unanimous. Mr. Showe: Yes. Mr. Brown: There's no break in period. 9 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD Mr. Showe: No. You jump right in. Alright. You're good. Perfect. We'll get you a name tag as well and get you an agenda. For future reference, I think you were on the email, but we do send out the agendas a week in advance. Mr. Hurst: Yes sir. Mr. Showe: Then we typically will bring the agendas on an iPad to save on shipping. This is where we're at. B. Engineer Mr. Showe: We'll turn it over to Pete for his engineering side. Mr. Glasscock: The last time we tabled the curb on Westmoreland Circle, I think the other one got mixed up, the one where the mailboxes were on the road. We tabled that one, because you wanted to get pricing and you wanted to have us look at Cornwall Court, as well as Scarborough Court.ThatoneandthenDavidsaidthatthere wasoneinfront ofhishouse. Ifyouwouldlikefor me to look at that one closer, I will. But we generally put a 24 hour look at it. So, if it rains, I'll come out here tomorrow and see what it's looks like. Generally, if it was dissipated or nearly dissipatedwithin24hours,it'sdoingitsjob.Maybe notaswellasyou'dlike, butit'sdoingitsjob. There was just a little stain there the day after it rained. So, I would consider it not an issue, not compared to some of the other ones. Mr. Brown: Where was that? Mr. Glasscock: It was where David lives. Mr. Scheerer: On Burrell Circle. Mr. Glasscock: So that one. The one on Scarborough Court, we already knew about that when they came. We said that we just going to wait until it was paved. It's still there. It still looks the same. It holds water. The worst one by far, is on Cornwall Court. We did have that one surveyed. Unfortunately, the survey did tell us that that was in the folder on the computer until two days ago. So, I only got to do a cursory look on it real quick and I turned it back over to Mark's team, because usually it's pretty easy, as a tree has lifted it up. But it looks to me like there's actually a belly in it as well. So, if we just cut the portion out down by the two trees and get it to flow down to where it's supposed to be, I think there's actually a belly in there too. That will require even more. Then on the North end, there's a place where there is a hole by a driveway. I wanted them to look at it a little bit closer, because if the curb gets raised up too much, now we have to do some 10 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD road work too, because the water has to come offofthe road into the curb. If the curb is higher, it's just going to sit on the road. It's not going to get into the curb. It's not doing anybody any good. So, I wanted to make sure that they looked at it closer. It looks to me like to get that water flowing around that, it is going to be about 300 feet. The Scarborough one is going to be close to 100 feet. Then, of course, the Westmoreland one was 40 feet. I did get another price from Terry Roberts Site Work in town here. He added some things to it. But I pulled some stuff out that I don't think he really needed, like the other guy didn't do any asphalt. Because he said that he could get it out without messing with the asphalt. So, when I pulled everything out, Terry Roberts was about $171 per linear foot, where the other guy was $150 per linear foot. I'm still waiting on two other ones that I asked a price for. I didn 't really expect anything. Ms. Zaresk: So, we're talking 800 feet at $150 per linear foot. Mr. Glasscock: 340 feet. To do all three locations, you're looking at roughly 420 feet. Ms. Zaresk: Oh, I thought I had 300, 400 and 100. Mr. Glasscock: I think that on Cornwall Court, we could get it to flow out more than it is. It is not as bad. There's water that sits there all the time. I don't think it ever dries out. As soon as somebody turns on the sprinkler system, the little place in between the two trees, where there's a little dip in as well, it fills up with water. So, every day when somebody turns on the water, it fills up with water and it stays there for a while. The one on Scarborough Court, it kind of does the samething, but ifnobody turnsthewaterforeveryotherday, itwillevaporateout. Then, ofcourse, you all know what the one on Westmoreland Circle does. It kind of stays there, too. Also, on WestmorelandCircle, theother side ofthe road, iskind ofdoing the samething. Itisnotasbad and it's not in front of a driveway either. The biggest problem on Westmoreland Circle is that it's right in front of a driveway. People don't like that when they're driving through every day. After a rain, youexpect it,butafter afewdays ofbright, sunnyweatherandyou're still splashingwater,I can see how that would be bad. So, that's my spill. I think we can get the water to move away from the mailboxes, anyway. The problem with that one, is when Mark looked at it closer, because we are coming into a new paving cycle, ifwe want to fix some ofthese bad areas, Ijust don't want to put in 200 to 300 foot of curb and then when we go through there to fix it and we go in there and look at it, we have to rip all of that right back out after two years. I think we can get the water to move away from the mailboxes, but it's still going to be there. II July 28, 2026 Remington CDD Mr. Brown: That's the biggest issue there, that it's right III front of the mailboxes. Everybody trudges through it to get their mail. Mr. Glasscock: I think we can get it to move away from the mailboxes, but it's going to be moving slowly, but it will move away. Mr. Mehrlich: When do we start paving? Mr. Glasscock: Next year will be the Boulevard. I'll probably try to talk you all into getting at least some of Knightsbridge up to Brookstone. Mr. Showe: Would there be any cost savings if we tried to wrap those into that same project? Mr. Glasscock: The curbing? Mr. Showe: Yeah. Mr. Glasscock: There are going to be savings. If we did a whole bunch of curbing, the price goes down more than half. Mr. Showe: I mean, considering we're within probably 12 months of doing the project, it may be wurth just waiting. Ms. Zaresk: That's kind of what I'm thinking. Mr. Showe: As he's indicating, if you do a curb and then you have to redo the road, you might mess up the curb. Mr. Glasscock: Yeah. That's why I kicked Cornwall to Mark's team, because they had a little bit more time to look at it. I'm kind of coming in, doing things really quickly and I need to head back out. But it looks to me like we might have to raise the curb too much, where the road will no longer get the water into the curb. If that happens, now you definitely have to do a patch. So,itkind ofeliminatesthis guywho said, "1can get it out and not damage the road. " Mr. Brown: The people would just appreciate a band-aid, even if you could cut a notch down the middle of the curbing, so the water would run out or something. Mr. Glasscock: I will see ifthey could do that. We tried that again in the new neighborhood a few years back. Yeah, we're getting old. It was about 10 years ago now. Mr. Scheerer: It's been a minute. Mr. Glasscock: It was okay, as soon as you had a little bit of dirt and stuff washing that little cut that they had made. I don't know who did it, but it works somewhat. So, I would recommendthatwedoWestmorelandCircle andapprove 150feet ofcurveonCornwallCourtand 12 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD let me see if it will work. If it works, I'll go ahead with it. If it doesn't, I'll come back next month and say, "Hey. I couldn't get it. " For 150 feet, I can get it to work. Ifyou are wanting to do it now, that should take care of the two mailbox locations anyway. Mr. Mehrlich: Where on Westmoreland Circle? Mr. Glasscock: It's right as soon as you tum in. I mean Harwood Circle. Mr. Showe: Yeah. If you tum right onto Harwood Circle, you'll see it on the right. I mean, it's always got stuff in it. Mr. Hurst: Where that tree was? Mr. Showe: There's still a big tree there. Mr. Brown: If you look down Harwood Circle, there was a dead tree. Mr. Scheerer: He removed it. That's two doors down, I think. Mr.Glasscock: Ifyou look right acrossthe streetfrom that, too, that tree iskind ofstarting to do the same thing. Mr. Scheerer: Because there's another one a little further down as you get towards Tim's house on the left, where you can see the roots intruding on the asphalt. Mr. Mehrlich: It is starting to crack. Mr. Scheerer: Yeah, big time. Mr. Mehrlich: We fill up with water on a cul-de-sac after 24 hours. Mr. Showe: So, what you recommend is a motion, Pete? Mr. Glasscock: If you want to do the problem areas now, I would say let's do 40 feet of curbing on Westmoreland and then give me a budget of 150 feet, which will be $150 times the 150 feet. Then let me see if I can get that water to move out of there from the survey shots and if I can, we'll go ahead with it. Ifnot, we'll push it back or try to get another alternative. Mr. Brown: I'm cool ifyou want to take a month and just try to do something without fixing it, because I'd rather fix it with the road and do it right. Mr. Showe: Yeah. Mr. Brown: Then not mess it up when we do the road. Mr. Glasscock: Yeah. Mr. Brown : If you can find a way just to get the water out of there until we get around to that. 13 July 28, 2026 Remington COO Mr. Glasscock: That's what I'm saying. I think on the Cornwall Court, if we were to do 150 feet, I think we can get that water to move. We won't be able to do anything for the North end of it, but at least we can do something by the mailboxes. I think it will tie into it, because I took it back to where the high point on that cul-de-sac was on the curb. I came back and it was all good , until just past that driveway. So, I think 150 feet would get us around the dip and two humps and I think we'd get enough fall. It's super flat. I was like, "Oh my God, this is flat. " It's going to be tough. If you remember, we did do it across the street on Cornwall Court, on that curb. We had to do two tries, but we just couldn't get the water out, because it was just so flat. But I think with 150 feet, we can get it to move on the mailbox side. We can get it to move around the comer and not have to do anything with it later. I don't like wasting all ofthis money. Mr. Brown: It's only $15,000. Ms. Zaresk: Yeah. I was just going to say that's still a nice chunk of change just to do the stop gap. But correct me, you said if we do that little stop gap, it might not be affected by the pavmg. Mr. Glasscock: If it would be affected by the paving, I'm not going to do it. Ms. Zaresk: Right. Mr. Glasscock: But if I can get 150 feet of curb or less and get the water to flow around there , I would say let's do it and not affect the road. Mr. Showe: I think what Ken was saying, do you want to give it a month and see if that's a possibility before we do anything else? Mr. Glasscock: If that's what you all would like. Mr. Brown:Yeah,or even ifyou couldcut anotch in the concrete, justto get it out ofthere, if you think there's a way to do it without affecting the road. Mr. Glasscock: On Harwood Circle, I don't think that's going to happen. Mr. Showe: No. Mr. Glasscock: I don't think on Cornwall Court either, because there are two humps and a dip. So,thewater'stryingto goover ahump, adip and then overahump again. It looks to me like there was a driveway. You would almost have to go from the driveway, past the tree, past the mailboxes and past the next tree. I think that's right about 150 feet and I think we can get that in without it affecting the roadway, where we would have to go onto the roadway to do anything. Mr. Scheerer: You're going to cut those tree roots, right? 14 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD Mr. Glasscock: Oh, yeah, that was a part of it. Mr. Scheerer: Are we going to put anything in it, like bio barrier or root barrier, once the concrete has been re-poured to help? Mr. Glasscock: Yeah. Mr.Mehrlich:So, ifitcould getfixedandthen when theroadwentdown, itwould beokay to fix it now. Is that what we're saying? Mr. Glasscock: Yes. Ms. Zaresk: Yeah. Mr. Glasscock: If it would impede the resurfacing thing, I would just say just wait. Mr. Mehrlich: Just wait until the resurfacing. Ms. Zaresk: Right. Mr. Glasscock: It would be just a cost. Ms. Zaresk: Okay. So, we're looking at giving approval for 150 feet? Mr. Glasscock: It would be 190 feet. Definitely 40 feet and then a contingent 150 feet, if engineering can get it to work without impacting the roadway surface. Mr. Brown: Did you have to go all the way to the catch basin? Mr. Glasscock: No. That's what I thought, because when I went out there and I walked here, it looked like there was one here, but there wasn't one, when they surveyed it. Ifwe can just get it past the second tree, it will go straight down that way. Mr. Mehrlich: I would make a motion to do it, because it has to be done. Mr. Showe: Yeah. Mr. Mehrlich: The only way that I would say not to do it, is if it had to be redone when the road was done. But other than that, it has to be done, whether it costs this or that. It has to be done. Ms. Zaresk: Yeah. Mr. Mehrlich MOVED to repair 190 feet of linear feet of curbing repair, subject to Cornwall Road not needing future repair and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. Ms. Zaresk: Is there any discussion? Hearing none, 15 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD On VOICE VOTE with all in favor repairing 190 feet of linear feet ofcurbing repair, subject to Cornwall Road not needing future repair was approved. Mr.Glasscock: That'sallIhave.Ifyouhaveanyquestions,Iwould begladtoanswerthem. C. District Manager's Report i, Approval of Check Register Mr. Showe: We could go on to approval ofthe Check Register. In your General Fund, we have Checks #7841 through #7857 for $95,104.49. Those invoices are behind there for you. Both AlanandIcanansweranyquestions thatyoumight have, orwecantakeamotiontoapprove. On MOTION by Mr. Brown seconded by Mr. Mehrlich with all in favor the June 1, 2026 through June 30, 2026 Check Register in the amount of$95,104.49 was approved. ii, Balance Sheet and Income Statement Mr. Showe: Behind that, we have your Balance Sheet and Income Statement. No action is required by the Board. In your General Fund, we are performing better than budget to actuals, so we're in good shape there. You are at 101% on your assessments. So, we've made all of those collections. iii. Presentation of OCSO Reports Mr. Showe: We included all of your Osceola County Sheriffs Office reports. iv. Approval of Fiscal Year 2027 Meeting Schedule Mr. Showe: We have a couple of housekeeping items. We presented the Fiscal Year 2027 meeting schedule. We kept it the same as your typical every other year schedule . So, unless there are any changes or recommendations from the Board, we would look for a motion to approve the meeting schedule. On MOTION by Mr. Brown seconded by Mr. Mehrlich with all in favor the Fiscal Year 2027 meeting schedule as presented was approved. 16 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD v. District Goals & Objectives a. Adoption of Fiscal Year 2027 Goals & Objectives b. Review of Approved Fiscal Year 2026 Goals & Objectives Authorizing Chair to Execute Final Form Mr. Showe : Behind that, we have the annual performance measures and standards. As the Board might recall, a few years ago, the Florida legislature made us go through a performance measure process. So, we've created these rules. They're pretty much minimal standards that we meet every year. So, what we would like to do, is just go ahead and have those approved for Fiscal Year 2027, as well as designate authority to the Chair to execute the 2026 goals, once the year is completed. On MOTION by Mr. Mehrlich seconded by Mr. Brown with all in favor the approval ofthe Fiscal Year 2027 goals and objectives and authorization for the Chair to execute the 2026 goals and objectives were approved. Mr. Showe: Then just before we go into Alan's report, I just want to give the Board an update of some of the things that we are looking at. We were notified that the card system on our access cards here at the Rec Center, the cards are now no longer available to purchase. Ms. Zaresk: Oh. Mr. Showe: So, we're evaluating what to do with that. It creates a little bit of a problem. Some of the newer stuff out there that we're looking at actually, is not card based at all. There's an app that you get on your phone and you just bring the phone with you. The door will let you in as you get close, if you have the app open, or you can touch the phone to the door handle, it just opens. So, what we're trying to do, is evaluate the best recommendation for the Board. What we don't want to do, is to have to reissue 3,000 cards. So, we're trying to look at what's out there, technology-wise and give you something that's more economical, but also maybe something that's built a little more for the future. So, we'll bring that to you as we do some more investigation. D. Field Manager's Report Mr. Showe: With that, we'll turn it over to Alan. Mr. Scheerer: Just a few things . Ms. Zaresk: Can I make one comment? 17 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD Mr. Scheerer: Sure. Ms. Zaresk: I just want to say that these last couple of guys that have been doing the Sheriffs Department reports, it is nice to see that they're making stops and notations. If we could somehow pass that along to the Sheriffs Department. Mr. Showe: Yeah, we always do. We always pass it on. The problem is again, we send them a list and somebody just signs up for it. Ms. Zaresk: Yes, I know that. Mr. Showe: It's kind of dependent on who decides to show up for the day. Ms. Zaresk: I know that. But if there's any way. Mr. Scheerer: I love the e-bike note. Ms. Zaresk: Yes. Mr. Showe: Yeah. Mr. Scheerer: They escape through the golfcourse. Ms. Zaresk: Kids run up and down the first fairway at 10:00 p.m . or 11 :00 p.m., sometimes. Anyway. Sorry, go ahead, Mr. Scheerer: No. Okay. The Amenity Center cameras are working. The filters were replaced. Just so you know, a few months back, we were approached by the school about some improvements to the baseball field. That is yet to happen. I have not met or spoken with anybody since that meeting. We replaced the handle on the door coming in. It just was old and needed to be replaced, so we replaced it. We had a sink repaired in the Men's Room. In the Fitness Center, we had a repair to the cable to the multi-use machine. It was basically the lap pull down machine. The filters were changed out. I haven't checked yet, but they told me that two more protective covers on the bikes were replaced. So, I'll look at that today. The pool and wading pool were operating properly. We did get our new permits for the next fiscal year. The emergency phone was tested. The pool cameras are working. At the gates, the AC filters are clean. We did have an issue with one ofthe gate arms. That was repaired yesterday. Each week that I'm out, I do go ahead and check all of the nuts and bolts on the gate arms, check the filters and cameras at the gates. Those are alright. The ponds are in good shape. We're meeting regularly with Down To Earth. There may be a change with the manager that we normally have, as Mr. John Cherubino may be looking to retire and move on. So, we'll keep an eye on that and hopefully there's no lack of production with the crew once John's gone, if that's what really happens. We had an accident, if you haven't seen it, 18 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD across the street. I think that was on July Yh. We finally got a report from FHP that said it was a hit and run. I'm not sure how anybody could hit that wall and pull their vehicle out of there and drive off. So, what we've done, is we've turned it into insurance. There's a $2,500 deductible. We gave them a proposal. As soon as they give us the okay, which we don't see any reason why they wouldn't, we'll go ahead and get Dellinger Construction out here. They were some of the lowest proposals that we've dealt with lately on masonry work. We'll get them out here and fix the wall once and for all. Ms. Zaresk: So that's the entrance wall. Mr. Scheerer: It's right across the street. I don't know how it's a hit and run, but FHP said hit and run on the report. The porter has been working on all of the sidewalk drains. I know down at the Lakeshore side, he got those clear, as well as the one on Knightsbridge Boulevard. There are some other ones in Strathmore. We'll continue to work through those. We had to replace the water fountain by the tennis court. It just went. So, we had that replaced. We did some hinge and lock work on the guardhouses. They were starting to stiffen up. We had to replace a couple ofthe hinges and locks. Other than that, we had a lady come by here earlier today and was asking what we're going to do to control the kids in the Rec Center. I guess she comes up here sometimes and likes to work out at the Rec Center. We informed her that there is an age limit for the kids and that the Rec Center officer's duties have been allocated to parking enforcement. She said okay and she left. But I did remind her that school was starting in about 12 days. I think the kids go back to school onthe 10th •So,hopefully some oftheactivitiesthataregoingonwhilethekidsareout ofschool, will slow down a bit. I can answer any questions you folks might have. Ms. Zaresk: I do have a question. Are they coming out to fix that masonry? Mr. Scheerer: Yes. Ms. Zaresk: Any others that they're going to do? Mr. Scheerer: Yeah, I have another proposal. Ms. Zaresk: For Lakeshore? Mr. Scheerer: For the Parton Settlement Road column. There's also one on Knightsbridge Boulevard. Ms. Zaresk:Okay. Because Lakeshore... Mr. Scheerer: Yeah, that's the column that got hit. 19 July 28, 2026 Remington COO Ms.Zaresk: Yeah.Every time that Iwalk byit, itlooks likeitisbroken.Onone ofyour rundowns, could you just take a look at the ones that go into Club Villas? Mr. Scheerer: The wall? Ms. Zaresk: Somebody mentioned to me that they thought some of that masonry looked broken. I personally haven't looked at it, but I know you're here every Friday. But if on your rundown, if you could look at it. I didn't notice it. Mr. Scheerer: Are they talking about the one that runs East and West of your entrance? Ms. Zaresk: Yeah. Mr. Scheerer: Either side? Ms. Zaresk: Yeah. Mr. Scheerer: I didn't see it, but we definitely can look at it. Ms. Zaresk: Okay. Ifyou don't mind, when you come by,just take a look at it. Mr. Scheerer: Of course . Ms. Zaresk: Somebody might be out there really looking at it and it's not that noticeable Mr. Scheerer: It's nut a big deal. We'll get out and we'll walk the wall. It's not a long wall. We'll take a look. Ms. Zaresk: Thank you. Mr. Scheerer: Youwillstarttoseesome ofthat, asyou know, because Iknow some ofyou have lived here forever. Ms. Zaresk: Yep. Mr. Scheerer: You know, as these trees mature behind the wall, there are bushes that residents have. We're going to start to see more and more shifting and maybe some grout work that needs to be done. But we'll definitely get Oelinger on that as well. Right now, we're just trying to get this hole filled. Ms. Zaresk: Yes. Mr. Scheerer: I'm surprised that homeowner hasn't been beating me up, because I would be livid if I had a hole in my yard. That's all I had. Ms. Zaresk:Are there any questions? Mr. Scheerer: Pete has something. Ms. Zaresk: Oh, go ahead. 20 July 28, 2026 Remington CDO Mr. Glasscock: I'm sorry. I didn't forget. The repair on the ballfield has been completed. I went out and checked it after it rained. It has been done, but he didn't grade it real well. It was holding a little water around the inlet. So, I just came out here and filled it back up and resodded it. Mr. Scheerer: Okay. Mr. Glasscock: But he is done and it seems to be working wonderfully. Ms. Zaresk: Okay. Is our pickleballlining out there yet? Mr. Scheerer: Oh, that's been done. Yeah. Ms. Zaresk: Okay. Anybody have any input or is it getting used? Mr. Scheerer: Yeah. Mr. Mehrlich: I haven't seen anybody use it myself, but I'm not always here a lot. Ms. Zaresk: I'm not either. Mr. Scheerer: I know Jason's been fielding a few calls. Mr. Showe: There is one person who apparently really loved to play tennis and now he's having some difficulty, because I guess people are using the tennis court for pickleball and he wants to use the one tennis court. Mr. Brown: I'm pretty sure I know who that is, because I only ever see one person down there. Mr. Mehrlich: Yeah. They usually play on both courts. Mr. Showe: Yeah, well. that's the only issue. Ms. Zaresk: But we set this up, so pickleball was on one side and tennis is on the other. Mr. Scheerer: Well, there is one court for pickleball and tennis. You can play tennis on the court. Ms. Zaresk: Right. Mr. Scheerer: It just gets confusing with all the other lines that are on there. Ms. Zaresk: Understood. Mr. Scheerer: But the court that's closest to the parking lot, is a tennis court. Mr. Showe: That's been the only feedback so far. Mr. Scheerer: Apparently, he wants to come out, somebody is already on it and he can't use the other one, I guess. He only wants to use the tennis one. Ms. Zaresk: Okay. 21 July 28, 2026 Remington COD Mr. Scheerer: That's always a challenge when you're comingling tennis and pickleball. Ms. Zaresk: Oh, absolutely. Mr. Scheerer: We have that everywhere. Ms. Zaresk: Absolutely. No question. Okay. Are there any other questions? Mr. Mehrlich: Oh, just a comment. On the landscaping side, I would like to see us do a better job with the Oak trees, as far as trimming them a little. Mr. Scheerer: Yeah, I got a price for that on the Boulevard and it's not cheap. Mr. Mehrlich: Well, again, it's not cheap to do anything anymore. But some things have to be done and you just have to do it. Mr. Scheerer: Yeah. Mr. Mehrlich: I think if we don't take care of the trees along the Boulevard, which can be beautiful now, it's not going to help encourage people on the side roads that we don't take care of their trees. So, I think we need to lead by example and do a nice job. Mr. Scheerer: We do them every year per contract, just so you know. But I did get a supplemental price for when we're out of contract. Mr. Mehrlich: Well, sometimes just like there's gate repairs and sometimes other things have to be done off contract. I think it needs to be done when it needs to be done. Mr. Scheerer: No worries. Mr. Mehrlich: Nothing major. If it's addressed throughout the year, it's never an issue. If it's allowed to get bad, then it becomes an issue. Mr. Scheerer: We'll bring something back. Mr. Mehrlich: I'm no longer one ofthe few people that likes the trees. Mr. Scheerer: I like them. They look good. I'll bring you a little note next month, sir. Mr. Glasscock: I don't like the roots. Mr. Scheerer: Well, nobody likes the roots. Mr. Mehrlich: Yeah. They are too close together. They could eliminate two trees. Mr. Scheerer: Come to Reunion and I'll show you some trees. Mr. Glasscock: I said the same thing. The Oak trees will grow to their environment. So, if you spout them out, they'll grow from bigger. Mr. Mehrlich : Oh, really? Mr. Glasscock: That's what every landscape architect tells me. 22 July 28, 2026 Remington COO Mr. Mehrlich: Well, I drove some places and I see these Oak trees and they're just big around as this rim and I'm like, "Holy Shit, they get massive. " Ms. Zaresk: Yeah, they do and when they go down ... Mr. Mehrlich: Hurricane Charley took theirs down. Mr. Scheerer: Yeah. They took part of mine down in my backyard. I had a 100-year-old Laurel Oak. Mr. Mehrlich: These were all young trees. They were a few years old. It took a lot down. Ms. Zaresk: Thanks, Alan. Are there any other questions for Alan? Okay. TENTH ORDER OF BUSINESS Supervisor's Requests Mr. Showe: Are there any other Board questions? Ms. Zaresk: Are there any other issues from anyone on the Board? Supervisor suggestions, questions? Mr. Brown: I have a couple of things. One is, can we clean the tile in the Men's Room? It's looking pretty bad. Mr. Scheerer: We did. Believe it or not, it was cleaned. Mr. Brown: How long did it take it to get back to dirty? Mr. Scheerer: Well, with the kids being out ofschool, 30 to 60 days. Mr. Showe: Yeah, it's probably something that we need to look at right when school starts. Mr. Scheerer: Yeah. As soon as school goes back in, we'll come in. We did the carpet. We did all the tile in the hallways and bathrooms. Ms. Zaresk: They missed the tennis shoe. Mr. Scheerer: They can't get up there for the tennis shoe. But we'll address the tennis shoe. Mr.Brown: Oh,upthere. I thought you meant the restroom. Mr. Scheerer: No. Mr. Scheerer: We are in need of a remodel for this facility. Mr. Showe : Yeah. Mr. Scheerer: So, you will be seeing some stuffnext year. We'll see how things go. We're working with a company right now at Reunion. They are remodeling the two big pool bathrooms for their major pool over there. They did an amazing job. I think the price, for that particular two 23 July 28, 2026 Remington COD restrooms, was really good. The Board approved them both. But the company did a nice job. They did all ofthe design, the renderings and provided us with a drawing. We didn't have to pay for it. Ms. Zaresk: Wow! Mr. Scheerer: We just brought them in and said, "This is 'what lve want. " I've already been talking to Jason about that and some other projects for 2028, which is the sign replacement and street ID markers. All of that stuff needs to be done. So, those are the things that we're working on for your budget for 2028, which will be here before you know it. We're six months into the year. We're going to be into January, February and we'll be doing budgets. Mr. Showe: Alan and I are also dealing with your cleaners. They have a service where they'll actually do some touch up painting and some more routine maintenance work around here. So, we're evaluating with them, to see if we can do it for a few months and see how it works out. They will provide us reports and then we can determine ifit's a good value for us. Mr. Mehrlich: Does the place fill up with kids, sometimes? Are there a lot ofpeople here, sometimes? Mr. Scheerer: When school's out, it's busy. Mr. Mehrlich: Yeah. Mr. Scheerer: Before we had the Rec Center officer, Leona, who is now at the Lakeshore gate, ruled with an iron fist. Those kids gave her no business. Mr. Showe: You used to also have a resident volunteer who came down and helped provide monitoring down here too. Ms. Zaresk: We've talked about this before, but I still remember the days when the community here had cooperation with the Police Department. Mr. Scheerer: Yeah. Ms. Zaresk: That made all of the difference in the world. Mr. Scheerer: Neighborhood Watch. Ms. Zaresk: That's what it was. Mr. Scheerer: Some of the signs are still up. Ms. Zaresk: But when we had the Neighborhood Watch in here, this was a very different vibe. Mr. Mehrlich: Did we take it out or did they take it out? Ms. Zaresk: There were no volunteers, as I understand it. 24 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD Mr. Showe: There was one for the HOA and you need to have volunteers to run it. Mr. Scheerer: Some of the older HOAlCDD Board Members. Mr. Brown: We had some issues with them using that vehicle to do HOA work. Mr. Scheerer: Violations. Mr. Brown: Violations and stuff. That wasn't supposed to be happening. Ms. Zaresk: Oh. Mr. Scheerer: I can tell you, as recently as about a year ago, I gave the Sheriffs Office two police radios , that they left in here. They have been here ever since it disbanded. I was cleaning stuffup and I was going, "What's in here?" I was like, "Oh, there's a police radio. " Ms. Zaresk: Wow! Mr. Scheerer: They came up here for an incident. I think it was a stolen bike or something and I asked the lady from the Sheriffs Office. She returned them back. Mr. Brown: I also never thought I would be in a meeting where we talked about tennis and pickleball comingling. Mr. Showe Yeah. Mr. Brown: I also need a Form IF. Mr. Showe: Oh, no. Ms. Zaresk: A Form IF? Mr. Showe: Oh, well. It's effective immediately. So, if the Board wants to accept Ken's resignation now, I guess this would be appropriate. That's what it means. Mr. Brown: Next month I won't be a resident here. So, I can't be on the Board. Mr. Scheerer: You were supposed to serve your term out. Mr. Mehrlich: Where are you going? Mr. Brown: Across the street. Ms. Zaresk: Oh, my God. So, now we're on search for another person. Mr. Showe: We're on the search for another Board Member. Mr. Brown: I was dragging my feet, until the budget and Tax Roll passed. Ms. Zaresk: Thank you. Mr. Showe: Well, I sincerely appreciate that, because I'm struggling with some Districts right now. Ms. Zaresk: Thank you for that. Oh, my gosh. 25 July 28, 2026 Remington COO Mr. Scheerer: How long have you been here? Mr. Brown: Since 2002, I believe. Mr. Scheerer: God almighty. Ms. Zaresk: Wow. Mr. Mehrlich: You just like the community better over there? Mr. Brown: My son is over there. Mr. Mehrlich: Okay. Ms. Zaresk: Oh, that will be nice. Are you in KA Circle? Mr. Brown: Yes. Ms. Zaresk: Okay. I have good friends over there. That's why I ask. Wow! Well, I don't know what to say, except that it won't be the same. Mr. Showe: No, it really won't. We appreciate everything, Ken. Ms. Zaresk: Thank you for gazillions of years of service and bringing us along, as we've kind ofjoined up in this. You're always the source of information. Can you still be a resource for us? Mr. Showe : Oh, Alan and I know how to get hold of them . I got him on speed dial. Mr. Brown: Yeah. I will be across the street, so, you can always call. Ms. Zaresk: We can always just come in and say hello. Mr. Showe: Yeah. Ms. Zaresk: We will miss you and your expertise. Mr. Scheerer: We don't want to see you cutting through Remington Boulevard. Mr. Showe:No, no, no. Mr. Scheerer: I don't want to see any of that either, Mister. I need all of your cards before you leave and your transponders. Ms. Zaresk: Wow! Mr. Mehrlich: Are you selling your house here ? Mr. Brown: We're renting it. Ms. Zaresk: Well, all the best. I don 't know what to say. Mr. Scheerer: I know. Mr. Brown: It's been an honor to be on this Board for a while. Ms. Zaresk: Yea, since 2002. 26 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD Mr. Brown: Not since the beginning, but when the developers turned it over. I took Mr. Chip Webb's seat. Mr. Mehrlich: Which was one of the developers. Mr. Showe: Yeah. Ms. Zaresk: Wow! Well, thankfully you guys still have that institutional knowledge. Mr. Showe: Yes. Mr. Scheerer: I haven't been here as long as him, but I was with your Manager when they managed Seven Trent. I was their CAM Manager for Seven Trent. Ms. Zaresk: Oh, my gosh. Mr. Scheerer: I used to come to these meetings. Brian would bring me. Mr. Brian Smith. Ms. Zaresk: Wow. Mr. Scheerer: God rest his soul. Ms. Zaresk: Well, thanks again and all the best. Mr. Scheerer: Yeah. I wish I'd have known. I would have bought a cake. Mr. Showe: Yeah. To celebrate. Ms. Zaresk: I might have brought a thermos of a few things. Mr. Scheerer: Yeah. Well, he only has to go around the comer. Right? Mr. Brown: Oh, I was going to ask. Did you get my message on Saturday or Sunday? Mr. Scheerer: About the gate? Mr. Brown: Yes. Mr. Scheerer: Yeah. Mr. Brown: Were you able to see who hit it? Mr. Scheerer: No. I hadn't been able to see that. No. Mr. Brown: Oh, okay. Mr. Scheerer: They just knocked the gate arm off. They put the gate arm back on. There was no damage to the gate. Mr. Brown: Oh, okay. Mr. Scheerer: There was just two nylon nuts. Yeah, sorry. I was getting mauled by my son's dog up in Pennsylvania. 27 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD Mr. Brown: Yeah, I had a timeframe, because when I came through it was on and I was here for like 40 minutes. Then when I left, it was off and I was like, "Somebody knocked the gate arm offin this amount oftime. .. Ms. Zaresk: Gosh. Mr. Scheerer: It doesn't take much, but thank God we have those nylon nuts. If it was a steel arm, we would be replacing everything. Mr. Showe: Right. Ms. Zaresk: Good. Mr. Scheerer: A lot of times we just put those back on for you, if we're here. We don't call the gate company, if we don't have to. Ms. Zaresk: Great. Mr. Showe: We do need a motion to accept Ken 's resignation. Ms. Zaresk: I don't want to make that motion. Mr. Showe: You kind of don't have a choice. He's not really going to be qualified anymore. Ms. Zan:sk: I knuw. On MOTION by Mr. Mehrlich seconded by Mr. Hurst with all in favor the resignation of Mr. Ken Brown was accepted. Ms. Zaresk: Okay. Tim? I'm sorry. Did you have anything else, Ken? Mr. Brown: Oh, no. Ms. Zaresk: That was enough. Thanks. Okay Tim. Mr. Mehrlich: The only thing that I would like to say, is that we missed a few meetings and while I was in town for the last meeting, when I do drive my truck over the road sometimes, I've been at the whim of other people. While I try very hard to get here, I'm not always here. But I've created my own authority now, so I'm my own truck driving boss now, which is a pretty big deal in the trucking world. Ms. Zaresk: That's great. Mr. Mehrlich: I think that I will be able to be here a lot easier now, because I have more control over my schedule. However, I'll be in Alaska next month. Mr. Showe: Okay. Mr. Scheerer: Are you driving all the way to Alaska? 28 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD Mr. Mehrlich: No. For $40,000, I'll go. I'll be on a cruise next month. Mr. Scheerer: I got to do that. Jason did one last year. I hear it's amazing. Mr. Showe: It was amazing. June, July, August? Mr. Scheerer: A little bit towards the end of the season. Mr. Showe: Yeah. Mr. Mehrlich: This is going to be a good time to go. Mr. Hurst: So, there won't be a meeting next month. Mr. Showe: Well, we still need three Board Members. I'll have to double check. Ms. Zaresk: We have Danny, me and David. Mr. Scheerer: You're past your budget now. Mr. Showe : We've completed the major things that we needed to do, for the rest of the fiscal year. So, we'll gauge if we have a quorum or not. Ms. Zaresk: Is David okay? Mr. Showe: He was at the last meeting. Mr. Scheerer: He was at the last two meetings. Mr. Showe: Yes. Ms. Zaresk: I wasn't here last month. That's right. Mr. Brown: He was here a month before. Mr. Showe: Yeah. Mr. Brown: We had one last month. Mr. Showe: Yeah. Ms. Zaresk: That's right. I was gone. The last thing that I was going to say, is the last time that I was here, we were talking about the traffic lights weren't up yet. Now that they are. they seem to be working really well for us. I don't know if anybody else has noticed . But it really helps tremendously having those traffic lights at Lakeshore. Mr. Scheerer: Yeah, it's an interesting set up. Ms. Zaresk: It is, especially with the people right across having their own light. Mr. Scheerer: Yeah. Ms. Zaresk: What else are you going to do? But. no, I know that we don't really have a say in it, but I know you've got some folks that may be interested, knowing that those lights are up. Mr. Brown: We have an easement for that. 29 July 28, 2026 Remington CDD Ms. Zaresk: I know we did, absolutely. But I was worried. I really thought that that might really screw up the flow.
